NAVIGATORS WORLD WIDE PRAYER 2024

As we gathered Nationally to join the Navigators World Wide Partnership in a Day of Prayer on 16 March,2024 we were encouraged to pray fervently. To seek the Lord with our whole person and to listen to what He is saying. To be ordinary men and women praying fervently to the faithful God.

Reflecting from James 5 :17 – 18, Alex Kiamba, National Director, The Navigators Kenya reminded us that prayer is for all of us, ordinary people.

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit. James 5:17-18 (ESV)

He exhorted us to seek to stay in the Word for it is in the Word of God that we find the promises of God.

“As ordinary men and women, God is not asking us to be any extraordinary apart from being soaked and found in the scriptures and being found in prayer. People who believe the promises of God. Trusting God to do what He said He would even when our hearts and our minds are fearing.” Alex Kiamba.

We were spurred to be reminded of the promises of God. As we trust God for the nations. As we trust God for our siblings, our friends to give their lives to Christ, to be found standing in the promises of God:

  • To stand on the promises of God even when we are afraid
  • To stand on the promises on behalf of others.

Mr. Kiamba, invited us to pray fervently as an act of faith. As we trust God for the nations, to come to Him with a spirit and a mood of openness that if God is sending anyone, it could be me. That we would be available as part of being fervent that the Lord would send us.
