Johnny serves students at Kenyatta University and JKUAT on Thika Rd; since September 2008, he has been helping students to know Christ personally and grow in their faith to maturity and fruitfulness. Our ministry welcomes students from all backgrounds to conversations of faith based on Scripture with the objective of knowing Christ and making him known. Our desire is always to see students living in Christ, rooted and built up in him, strong in faith and overflowing with thankfulness (Col. 2:6 – 7). Many of these students, after their time with us on campus, go on to serve as fruitful witnesses and disciple-makers in their communities, churches, and the marketplace. Johnny is also a participant trainer for new field ministry staff in the context of the students ministry.
Johnny also leads the Missions Team in thinking and mapping out new ministry frontiers and coming alongside staff teams in fulfilling their missional aspirations. The vision is to see workers for the Kingdom next-door to everywhere.
Rose previously served students at Alliance Girls’ High School before handing over to a team of young women she was mentoring, due to parenting commitments. She is now fully engaged in the marketplace, but makes time to help young women grow in their sense of identity.
Prayer Points
- Pray for our children (Abilia and Ardell): that they may grow up to know, love, and serve God according to his particular call on them.
- Pray for us: that we would be good stewards of these gifts of God, able to demonstrate God’s patience and grace to them, and able to speak Gospel fluently to them.
- Pray for our ministry: we need energy and resources to fulfill the task we have received.
- Pray for our ministry: for lasting fruit, and spiritual generations of laborers next-door-to-everywhere.
